Q: Do I have to live in New Jersey?
Do I have to live in New Jersey to have a Mural done or are you willing to travel to other states?
A:
There are a few options for anyone who does not live in New Jersey, USA. I am willing to travel to other states in the US. I would need to have all travel and lodging expenses paid for by the client prior to traveling to the destination.
OR, I could recreate any of my mural designs, wall art designs, or even a totally custom design just for you onto any size artist canvas, which can be shipped anywhere in the USA or Canada. Contact me to learn more about either option.

How far is Outta the Blue willing to travel?
A:
Outta the Blue LLC is located in Southern New Jersey, Ocean County region. Surrounding counties include: Monmouth County. Outta the Blue will travel to other counties of New Jersey, but will charge a travel fee. As well as any travel outside of New Jersey, there will be a travel expense fee added to the final proposal. If a mural is needed outside of New Jersey, but still in the United States, Outta the Blue LLC will expect all travel expenses and lodging fees to be paid before mural project begins.
If interested in having a Mural painted on large canvas sheets, they can be shipped throughout the continental United States and should be installed by a professional wallpaper hanger. If interested in this service, please contact me for more information.

How much does a Mural actually cost?
A:
Hand-painted Murals vary greatly in prices. When pricing a Mural, there are a lot of factors to consider, including; level of detail in the painting, the size of the actual mural, if special equipment will be needed to accomplish the finished result, travel time to and from the site, and the overall design of the Mural.
This is why an initial consultation is needed before any price estimates can be given.

Q: Initial Consultation
What happens at the initial consultation?
A:
Artist, Michelle Dugan, of Outta the Blue LLC, will schedule a date and time that is convenient to both the client and Outta the Blue for the initial consultation. During the initial consultation, the artist will present her ideas, knowledge, portfolio showing prior clientels' artwork designs. You can expect to be presented with original and unique design ideas. Michelle will take information from you in regards to color choices, budget, working timeframe, any ideas you may have. If sketches are needed, there will be a fee charged of $50.00 for up to three (3) sketches. This fee is non-refundable, but it is credited back to you should you decide to commission Outta the Blue LLC to design your project(s) for you. Within approximately, 3-7 days after the consultation, Michelle Dugan will provide you with a written proposal for the project(s) discussed during the initial meeting, as well as any sketches that were agreed upon at the meeting.
There is no charge for the initial consultation for the following New Jersey Counties: Ocean, Monmouth. Any other NJ counties, there will be a nominal travel fee for the initial consultation, which will be discussed upon your initial contact with Outta the Blue by either phone or email.
Should you decide to commission Outta the Blue, LLC to provide you with a custom, hand-painted Mural creation, the Proposal you receive should be signed and dated, and supplied with a 10% deposit upon signing of proposal, which will then be used to book a starting date for the particular Mural job in the proposal. The remaining balance of the proposal is then paid in full upon the completion of the said job.

Absolutely! Outta the Blue, LLC provides decorative Mural painting services to a variety of businesses in New Jersey. Some types of businesses that have requested Outta the Blue LLC to paint include:
Nursery Schools, Day Care Centers, Preschools, Pediatrician Offices, Medical Offices, Dental Practices, Candy Stores, Ice Cream Parlors, Children's Hair Salons, Pet Stores, and lots more.

How long will a Mural take to complete?
A:
The answer to this question is always "unknown". Some of my Murals take one day, others can take me weeks or months to accomplish the finished result. My typical work day is 10:00 am - 3:00pm weekdays, and on weekends from 9:00am - 6:00pm. When I start a mural creation, I do get very involved in it, and typically finish before the client ever expected.
I love to paint adorable children's rooms and baby nurseries and I never "rush" my creativity.
